And our Acorn employees have proven just this by helping us to very generously donate gifts to the Alexander Devine hospice.

The Alexander Devine hospice is based in Maidenhead, Berkshire and it supports children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, along with their families throughout the area.

Acorn contacted the hospice in November to find out how we could help these children enjoy their Christmas just that little bit more.

The hospice provided us with a Christmas Giving Tree which was covered with gift tags requesting a huge variety of toys for children of all ages.

Over the last few weeks, our employees have been extremely kind and managed to tick a large number of the gifts off the tree.

Mike Witchell, Managing Director said ‘I am absolutely thrilled at the response we have had to this request. Everyone has been extremely kind-hearted in donating all of these gifts for the children’s hospice and it is lovely to know we are supporting the local community.’

The toys were delivered to the hospice on Tuesday 11th December so there was time for them to be checked and wrapped before distribution by Father Christmas at the hospice’s Christmas party.

Samantha Collier, Corporate Fundraiser said ‘I am delighted that Acorn have supported our children’s hospice with toy donations for Christmas – we rely solely on the community for support so we are very grateful.’
